AWAITING OUT NEXT ADVENTURE

In 9 days we will be leaving for Bolton Lake, a fly in fishing lodge in Manitoba, Canada. Where we will be fishing for trophy Northern Pike, Lake Trout and Walleye which will be our shore lunch. Check it out at BoltonLake.com.
There will be more to follow with pictures of this adventure.

BEGINNING OF SUMMER

We have had a great summer so far inspite of Bronchitis, fx rib from coughing and pneumonia. We had a fun visit with Laurie, Steele, Izzy and Colby along with Dawn, Terrance, Taylor(Terrance's girlfriend), Jaylyn and Ryker.
We had quite a busy week (the week Laurie was here). Two trips to the new pool in Castle Dale, one to the wave pool, two or three firepit suppers with roasted hotdogs, roasted marshmallows and smores, the Living Aquarium in Sandy, and the demo derby in Price. I was sick so I only made it to the Living Aquarium and the demo derby. The Aquarium is quite a neat little place. They have penquins, snakes & lizards, stingrays that you can touch, salt water fish, coral reefs and much more. The kids seemed to enjoy this very much. After that we went to Jump On It. That was quite a new experience. Also enjoyed by all.
On Saturday the girls had a girls day out. We went to Provo and met my neice Allyson. Then we had a pedicure, lunch and a little shopping. We had a great time and it was relaxing.
On the way home Saturday we met the boys in Price and went to the Demo Derby. Which we always enjoy. Steele cried because the cars were all getting smashed - but then he got in the spirit and enjoyed the Derby. Colby cashed in on the end of the Derby hotdog sale, which was 2 for the price of one and ended up with four hotdogs. He selflessly shared with the rest of us. After plenty of snow cones, hotdogs, candy, soda pop and water we ended the night and traveled home, without anyone getting sick.
Wkay, Colby, Steele, Izzy, Terrance, Taylor and Jaylynn all enjoyed riding the 4-wheelers. Steele and Colby had their first driving experiences. Steele was so proud of himself that he could drive. Wkay set on the back and Steele drove.
We only had Sunday with Dawn and the kids, but we enjoyed visiting with them very much.

CRAPPY BLOGGER

As I have been reading blog entries this am. I have to confess, that I am a CRAPPY BLOGGER. I know, as hard as that is to believe, it is true.
I just wanted to share with everyone, how grateful I am for all our family and friends, and for the love, support, and prayers that each one of you give to us. It has been three years since W.Kay was diagnosed with tonsil cancer, and at his last visit with Dr. Hyde and after getting his CT scan, he is cancer free. We are so grateful for that and that he is feeling so good. He has gained back a little bit of weight - due to his Fatboy diet (ice cream sandwiches) which he is addicted to.
At this wonderful time of year, I pray that we don't lose the real meaning of Christmas in all our hustle, bustle and Christmas shopping.
Now, enough for the sappiness (SP), if this is even a word, and to wishing all a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS and a HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!

Antelope Hunt 2009

The Antelope hunt opened on Sept 12, 2009. After waiting for 10 years, Wkay finally drew out for an Antelope permit in the west desert.
It took a few days of 4-wheeling and scouting out to finally pick out the one he wanted. This Antelope was killed on Sept 14, 2009 at 8:13in the am. This Antelope is now at the Taxidermist awaiting it's new look.
These Tarantulas were all over the area that they were hunting in. Scary looking !!!
